Pastor Brian De Jong

Born in 1963 in Bozeman, Montana, Pastor De Jong grew up in Michigan, Iowa, California, New Jersey and Illinois.  Upon graduation from Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights, Illinois, he attended Calvin College, Trinity Christian College and Southern Illinois University.  In 1986 he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Photography from SIU-C.  God called him at that time into Christian ministry.  His first assignment was at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Carbondale, Illinois.  There he developed a ministry to international students through Reformed University Ministries, the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America.  In 1990 Brian and his family moved to Jackson, Mississippi to attend Reformed Theological Seminary.  Graduating in 1993 with an M-Div, he was ordained in the Central Florida Presbytery of the PCA.  For the next two years Rev. De Jong pioneered a campus ministry to internationals at the University of Florida.  The De Jongs moved back to Illinois in 1995 to plant a PCA church in Marion.  Then, in 2000, Pastor De Jong was called to Covenant OPC in Brighton, Michigan.  In August 2005 the De Jong family moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where Rev. De Jong serves as pastor of Grace OPC.
